The kind that makes you say, “Wait… am I dreaming? Did I just do this?” And the answer was: yes I did, thanks to my humble ingredients from Hong Kong Supermarket😁 I went shopping twice this week and got everything I needed from there. Here’s what I used: — Crystal Dumpling Skin: - Har gow flour (虾饺粉) — mixed with hot water and kneaded into the softest, most elastic dough. Perfectly see-through when steamed! — Filling: - Fresh chives + scrambled eggs (aromatic and balanced) - Tiny dried shrimp (虾皮) — just a pinch for deep umami flavor - Tofu slices (豆腐干) — for clean texture and bite - Vermicelli noodles (粉条) — silky and slurpable! I steamed them while smiling to myself like a little kid. When I lifted the lid and saw them sitting there, glowing in the steam like moon dumplings… I knew: Happiness is coming! These plant-based Crispy Pies were incredibly delicious—crispy on the outside, savory and tender inside. 375°F in the air fryer for 12 minutes (flip halfway), and boom—pure happiness!
